Email filtering is the organisation of electronic mail in specified criterion by processing it. Generally, this is an automatic process of organising incoming messages. However, the term also applies to the intervention of human intelligence in addition to artificial intelligence, also to outgoing emails as well as those being received.
Email filtering involves eliminating the sending and receiving of unsolicited emails and computer viruses. It is often the case that viruses are attached to unsolicited emails. Filtering is also used to move emails for efficient access, automatically reply to emails, and to notify the sender that their message has been received successfully.
